Queen’s First Aid

Queen’s First Aid Campus Response Team is a university campus first aid response team serving Queen’s University and its direct community in Kingston. Queen’s First Aid serves as a confidential and professional service responding to medical emergencies on campus. We are available from 8am - 11 pm Sunday - Thursday. On weekends, our hours are from 8 am Friday morning until 8 am on Sunday morning (overnights included).

Queen’s Concussion Awareness Committee

As a committee, we strive to bridge the gap between students and concussion resources available at Queen's and in the Kingston area. We aim to provide support to the community and supply students with the tools they need to make healthy choices surrounding their academics, physical, and mental health as it relates to concussions.

Queen’s Health Outreach

Queen’s Health Outreach is a club that searches for global opportunities to initiate primary health care programs. With partnerships in Belize, Guyana, Northern Canada, and Kingston, QHO’s mission is to collaborate with these partnering global communities to work towards sustainable opportunities for youth engagement and leadership, by facilitating peer-to-peer discussions centering around health topics in classrooms.

Project Red

Project Red is a fully student-run organization at Queen’s University that promotes a healthy active lifestyle while raising funds for the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada. Project Red's main fundraiser is the annual Charity Fashion Show, which displays the individuality and creativity of Queen's students who are ultimately devoted to a common goal.

qUEEN’S rELAY FOR lIFE

Queen’s Relay for Life is one of the many Relay for Life events that occur annually throughout Canada in support of the Canadian Cancer Society. The event funds research projects, provides support services for cancer patients and their loved ones, and creates awareness campaigns about cancer prevention and general health.

Queen’s University Blood Team

The Queen’s University Blood Team (QUBT) is a student-run organization that promotes, facilitates, and de-stigmatizes blood, organ, and stem cell donation. In collaboration with Canadian Blood Services, QUBT organizes off-campus donations via LifeBus shuttles. The Queen’s University Blood Team seeks to educate students about the importance of blood donation and other initiatives of the Canadian Blood Services.

Disability Awareness Clubs

Motionball

motionball (founded by Queen’s Kin alumni!) is a national non-profit that empowers young Canadians to be leaders in their communities, raising funds and awareness for Special Olympics through integrated social and sporting events. We believe that the next generation of Canadians, today’s students and young professionals, are the future of the Special Olympics movement – with the power to make meaningful difference for generations to come.

Winter Adapted Games (wag)

We are the Winter Adapted Games (WAG) club, conceived in 1991 with the School of Kinesiology and Health Studies at Queen's. We organize a fun-filled day of non-competitive sports, games, and activities for people from the Kingston community who have an identified disability. During WAG, each participant is paired with a Queen's student "Buddy" to ensure a safe and fun-filled day. Our aim is to connect Queen's students with the community while creating awareness about barriers to participation.

Queens American Sign Language (QASL) advocates for accessibility on Queen's campus and offers students a free and engaging environment to learn American Sign Language (ASL).
